A delightful day

Paul Casebeer graciously invited us to visit his home in Pasadena yesterday. He is an enthusiastic collector of art, antiquities, and rare plants and trees--and is a highly skilled painter, stone and tile-worker, metal worker, carpenter, botanist, landscape architect--you name it. Over the years Paul has built up a veritable museum and botanical garden that delights the eyes, as there are marvelous things to look a everywhere one turns.

Besides Paul and his lovely companion, Sandy, those attending were Max Turner, his nieces Denise and Claudia, my wife Lisa, my mother and father, and Paul's neighbor Alex--who contributed to the festivities by making the best fruit salad I have ever tasted.

Thanks again to all for a wonderful time!
